Mak Conveyancing has worked alongside and supported Shamida Ethiopia since the beginning.
Our founding Partner, Karen Kendall, who set up MAK in 2009 also began her journey with setting up Shamida shortly after in 2014 with a dream of giving hope to the lives of vulnerable women and children. Karen’s dream began when she adopted her first daughter, Ruby, which gave her the drive to give back to Ethiopia which gave Karen her most valuable gift.
SHAMIDA ETHIOPIA
Shamida Ethiopia was established to give hope to the lives of vulnerable women and children through care, support, and development programs and to give them relevance in life.
The Shamida Shelter provides a loving home for orphans and vulnerable children. We provide food, shelter, clothing, care and medical care (if and when required). We believe that these babies/children deserve to be loved and cared for free from any harm or worries. These children are from all walks of life some as young as a few days old, some 15 years, many with special needs and some without.
Karen Kendall manages the day to day running of Shamida Ethiopia being based permanently in Ethiopia with her beautiful Ethiopian daughters, Ruby and Daisy.
